2009 Formula Drift Champion

With its demand for skill and split-second timing, drifting presents huge challenges for drivers. For grassroots drifters, who must outfit their vehicles without major sponsorship, the sports challenges are even greater.
A strong supporter of grassroots drifting, Maxxis has a message of encouragement for those drivers in a new YouTube video. Narrated by 2009 Formula Drift champion Chris Forsberg, the video tells a bit of the drivers compelling story. Forsberg recounts how he started in the sport without the advantages of wealth or motorsports connections, noting that his MA-Z1 Drift tires helped him along the way. Forsberg can be seen putting his tires to the test in the videos action sequences, which feature thrilling slides to the edge of the track.

Gymkhana THREE Project

April 22, 2010 - VISTA, CA - DC and Ken Block are proud to announce that they have begun development on the highly anticipated Gymkhana THREE project. Set to release in Summer 2010, the project will feature the DC Co-Founder and Rally car driver taking the art of gymkhana to a whole new level. "DC has been involved with my Gymkhana projects ever since the very first video hit back in 2008, and I am really stoked to once again be working with them on the newest film," said Ken Block. "We've had a lot of fun creating the previous Gymkhana clips and have even been rewarded with numerous awards for our work, along with record breaking viewership. And of course, as would be expected, we are looking to outdo ourselves this time with Gymkhana THREE."

Continental Hosts Open House at New Redlands, CA Warehouse Community Ribbon cutting ceremony was held April 15, 2010
Fort Mill, SC (April 22, 2010) - Continental Tire the Americas, LLC is now at full operating capacity at its new distribution center in Redlands, California, and held an official ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for the local media and business community. The event was on Thursday, April 15, 2010 with the ribbon cutting, followed by a tour and refreshments. Continental took occupancy of the facility earlier in the year, in a move that consolidated two smaller operations in Ontario and South Gate, California. The Redlands warehouse offers 500,000 square-feet of space situated on a 27.5 acre-plot of land. The facility is now fully operational for Continental's passenger and commercial tire divisions. It features a state-of-the-art operating system to expedite orders.
